Jammee Guesthouse Vang Vieng

We miss Jammee Guesthouse in Vang Vieng.  Run by a young local Lao family they are very friendly and welcoming.  The father can speak very good english and also has information about tours at very reasonable rates.

Jammee Guesthouse was located in the south part of town which made it nice and peaceful.  The north part of town is where all the young backpackers congregate so being south of the town means that you get a good nights sleep.

We had a family room which consisted of 2 king size beds and 1 single bed.  There was air conditioning in the room and the internet connection was not too bad for Laos.  But what we enjoyed most about our time here at Jammee Guesthouse was the included breakfasts.

We woke up excited each morning to go and sit at the dining area where we could look out over a working garden while we waited for our breakfast to be cooked.

The breakfasts were epic and we have yet to find any better.  All the ingredients were fresh from the farm and garden, so they were all organic and tasted so amazing!

There were also several choices for breakfast every morning but our firm favourites were the omelette with fresh veggies from the garden and a toasty baguette with butter also muesli with fresh fruit and yoghurt.  The kids much preferred the banana pancakes and cornflakes.

The owner Hong also was great at providing information about the town and what activities to do.  They can organise tours for you and transport to your next destination.  We booked our day trip to the caves and kayaking here for only $15 USD per person including a huge lunch and our private van to Vang Vieng for only $20 more than a shared minivan or bus.

If you are visiting Vang Vieng with a family defiantly stay at the south side of town, and if you want the most delicious breakfasts also included in your room rate then do pay Jammee Guesthouse a visit.
